| Just a note to say I miss everyone in the East, especially with news of this amazing wonderful blizzard/snow storm that is headed your way!
I wonder how you are all doing, how your walk with Christ is, praying that you haven't been left alone and have found God to be your rock time and time again.
I have been well. I am in charge of a new department at Young Nak, the FamilyZone department, where "Kids Bring Their Parents To Worship". It's a all out production for 1st-6th graders and their families .. drama, lights, video, rockin' music. All designed to bring the family into a place of shared worship. It takes getting used to having all this responsibility and it's a great challenge, but I know I'm just a small part of it and that God will accomplish what He desires...
Stay safe everyone and enjoy the beauty of a fresh snowfall. If i could come and help you shovel I totally would!! but I probably wouldn't be that effective because i might be a bit busy making snow angels in the snow...

| I just wanted to send out everyone a wish wish for a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I miss you all (LinX-ers, GCF-ers, East Coaster-ers) and hope and pray you are all being blessed daily by the Lord...
I haven't done much music this year, but I did record two new Christmas songs, one original and one cover for Young Nak's EM Christmas CD... you can take a listen at my Myspace: www.myspace.com/miakim.
When you hear me singing "longing for the East" you know I'm missing the cold freezing sleet rain and driving down Cheltenham Ave on the way to church and freezing as I walk around with my breath coming out in icicles. I love it!! Believe it or not, each and every one of you are so special to me. May God bless you in the New Year to find dreams fulfilled, needs supplied and prayers answered through Christ's love.

| So I've decided to fast/disconnect from the internet for my own good for Wed and Thurs. It's only two days, no big deal right? Well, I realized my whole life is practically on the internet: work, communication, learning, reading, music, research, etc. and it's getting out of hand. Even though 90% of my internet time is working on ministry things, there will be no constant checking of email (only once when i get up), no rss feeds, no reading up on any news, entertainment, technology, friends blogs. I'm tempted to go cold turkey and not read any email, we'll see (what a sad statement). I am doing this for several reasons...
1) to spend some quiet time with God in some serious prayer and reading the Word
2) quiet my mind down which has been running on high output this summer
3) stave off impending burnout
4) practice and write music
5) rest
6) try to satisfy my addiction to reading everything by turning to paper materials as opposed to the endless amount of internet articles, feeds, threads, etc.
7) try to really figure out what/where I'm headed
Hope you are all doing well, I miss you all...LinX Missions Team, you're on my heart and mind.. are they back yet?
